This 8 Days Rwanda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari is one of the ultimate safari adventures that will give you remarkable adventure experiences as you explore the land of a thousand hills. You will be able to visit Volcanoes National Park for the life time Gorilla trekking experience, Visit Akagera National Park for thrilling wildlife safari moments as well as Lake Kivu Rwanda’s Biggest Lake to have fun filled and relaxing moments. This will be a safari one of its kind.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali International airport, You will meet with our company representative or Safari driver guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Afternoon Boat Trip
On this day after morning breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Akagera National Park in the eastern province, drive takes roughly 2 or 2.5 hours to reach the park, upon arrival in the park you will enjoy your beautiful lunch and later in the afternoon you will go an exciting boat trip on Lake Ihema, you will spot hippos, crocodiles, various bird species and enjoy the stunning wilderness. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Night Game Drive
Today early morning after having breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters where you will have a short briefing about your game drives, after briefing, drive to the park to start your incredible game viewing adventure, you will be able to watch numerous Wildlife animals including the African Big 5 such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, on a good day, you may as well spot a leopard or rhinoceros. Other animals to watch in the Akagera include zebras, giraffes, warthogs, different kinds of antelopes like the impalas, elands, spot some primates like baboons, monkeys and watch numerous bird species. Later lunch and in the afternoon head out for a night Game drive to be able to spot the nocturnal wildlife species such as Lions, leopards among others. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive & transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On this day in the morning after breakfast, drive to the park for another morning game drive to spot more wildlife species, later you will embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, you will have your lunch on the way and upon arrival at the park, check in to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Ibyi’wacu cultural village
Today very early morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters where you will meet with park officials who will brief you about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. You will then enter the forest in search of the gorillas. The trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle and your group speed as well. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour observing them. After this amazing experience you will return for lunch and later in the afternoon visit the Ibyi’wacu cultural village for fun filled moments with the local people to have an insight about the traditions and culture of Rwandans, return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.
Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking & Fishermen Experience
Today after your warm early morning breakfast, you will head to park headquarters for briefing about code of conduct with the golden monkey, and just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though no so hectic like gorilla trekking, you will also be allowed an hour to spend with these lovely creatures observing them and taking pictures. After the trekking return to the lodge for lunch and drive to Lake Kivu. You will have an evening Fishermen experience with the local night fishermen on the traditional fishing experience to watch them as they catch the local fish. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Morning Boat Trip and Relaxation at the Beach
Today morning after having your breakfast, you will head out for an amazing Boat cruise experience on the beautiful Lake Kivu to explore the different islands on the Lake including the Bat Island with thousands of bats, you will also enjoy the tranquility and beautiful scenery. Later you will spend your later time at leisure relaxing at the beach. Dinner and Overnight at your booked Lodge.

Day 8: Transfer back to Kigali for Departure
Today morning after breakfast, you will embark on your journey back to Kigali, you will have an enroute then you will have an enroute visit the newly opened Ellen DeGeneres campus of the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund to have an insight about the works of this American primatologist and gorilla conservationist and the running projects towards gorilla conservation before you proceed to Kigali for your drop off to the Airport.
